What this report is

The Market Entry Dossier delivers a single-geography go/no-go entry plan structured around the Find / Size / Identify / Position / Act framework. The output combines trade-flow market sizing at HS-code resolution, a tiered and scored named-prospect inventory sized to your category, a recommended entry strategy, and first-thirty-day actions.

Trade-flow data is sourced from UN Comtrade and the relevant national customs authorities; named prospects are sourced from public business registries cross-referenced with commercial directories; positioning is grounded in vertical-specific search and community-language signal in the target geography.

Built for founders and growth leaders evaluating a new geography with a fixed-fee budget against the diligence question.

The buyer question

Should we enter this market — and through what channel?

Buyer questions, answered

What buyers actually ask.

How do I know whether this geography is worth entering?

The Market Entry Dossier returns a go/no-go read grounded in five inputs: trade-flow demand sizing, competitive density at HS-code resolution, named-prospect inventory, vertical-specific search and community signal in the target market, and a recommended channel. The output is an entry decision, not a study.

How is "market size" actually computed?

For physical goods we use HS-code-level trade flow at the bilateral level — UN Comtrade plus the relevant customs authority. For services we substitute vertical-specific search demand plus public-spend signals. The methodology choice is named in the report so the buyer knows which assumption they are inheriting.

What does the prospect inventory actually contain?

Named companies in the target geography, sized to your category, classified into priority tiers and scored for likely buyer fit. Each entry has the company name, address, public web presence, employee headcount band, and the public signal that placed them in the inventory. The inventory is the core action artifact.

Will it work for a service business?

Yes, with a methodology substitution noted above. Service businesses use search-demand and public-spend signal in place of HS-code trade flow. The dossier structure is identical — Find, Size, Identify, Position, Act — with the source layer adapted.

How is this different from a McKinsey or BCG market entry deck?

A consultancy deck is positioned to support a strategic conversation; the dossier is built to support a procurement decision. Every claim traces to a named source. Every prospect is identified by name. The pricing and turnaround reflect that scope discipline — fixed fee, seven business days, single geography.

Can I commission multiple geographies at once?

Each Market Entry Dossier covers one geography at the base price. Multi-geography commissions scope as multiple dossiers; they share intake but ship as independent reports so each can stand alone in your decision pack.

How recent is the trade-flow data?

Most recent reporting period available at intake — typically the prior calendar year for annual series and the prior reported month for monthly series. The report timestamps the data window and flags any gaps in the source authority's reporting calendar.

What you receive

The deliverable, in detail.

  • Five-step Find / Size / Identify / Position / Act framework rendered as five report sections, each tied to its source data.
  • Trade-flow market sizing at HS-code resolution for physical goods, or search-demand and public-spend sizing for services. The methodology choice is named per report.
  • Tiered, scored named-prospect inventory sized to your category — companies in the destination geography by name, with priority tier and scoring rationale.
  • Recommended entry strategy with first-thirty-day actions: the three named prospects to engage first, the channel recommendation, and the assumptions to validate before scale.
Methodology

How the report is built.

The Market Entry Dossier runs the Find / Size / Identify / Position / Act framework against your target geography. Find uses UN Comtrade and the destination country's customs authority for HS-code trade-flow demand, supplemented by vertical-specific search-demand data from commercial keyword providers in the destination language.

Size joins demand to competitive density. We pull importer concentration, exporter dependence, and competing-supplier landscape data from the trade authorities and triangulate with public business-registry counts. Identify resolves the named-prospect layer: companies in the destination geography sized to your category, sourced from the official business registry plus commercial directories like Dun & Bradstreet and ZoomInfo where coverage is available.

Position grounds the entry strategy in destination-language search and community signal — what buyers in the geography ask for, in what language, with what willingness-to-pay tells. Act compresses to a thirty-day plan: first three named outreach prospects, the channel recommendation, and the assumptions to validate before scale.

A senior analyst reviews each layer before the dossier is drafted. The Counter-Signal Pass surfaces the strongest reason the entry might fail — protectionist regulation, exchange-rate exposure, channel saturation, or community-language pushback against foreign entrants.

Methodology proof is documented in the public Sample Market Entry Dossier on /publications/reports.

Counter-Signal Pass is included on every report. The full Foragentis methodology is documented in The State of AEO and GEO in 2026.

Limitations

What this report does NOT do.

Procurement-grade reports scope themselves. The work below is adjacent and important — and is not in this SKU.

The Market Entry Dossier does not include in-market customer interviews or primary research. The named-prospect inventory is sourced from public registries and commercial directories; conversion validation against any specific named prospect is a downstream sales motion, not a deliverable of this report.

Tariff and regulatory analysis is bounded — we surface major tariff lines and named regulatory risks, but a specific compliance posture for any given product or service is a legal-counsel question, not a research question.

The dossier covers one geography per engagement at the base price. A two-geography decision is two dossiers, not one. We do not produce comparative cross-geography rankings as a single report.

About Foragentis.

Foragentis is an AI research and product company based in Sacramento, California. ForIntel is the business-intelligence research arm — producing custom dossiers across four buyer lanes: Search & AI Visibility, Markets & Locations, Capital & Innovation, and Specialty.

Every claim in a ForIntel report traces to a public source. Findings are re-verified before delivery. The Adversary/Analyst architecture pairs a senior analyst with a counter-signal pass on every thesis. Anything below our statistical thresholds is labeled directional rather than validated.

Methodology is documented in The State of AEO and GEO in 2026 — a 9,900-word, 42-page public study with effect-size statistics across four frontier AI engines.
